What FSC Chain of Custody certifies
FSC CoC tracks responsibly sourced wood and paper through every stage of the supply chain. For a packaging factory, it proves we can:
- Purchase FSC-certified paper from accredited suppliers.
- Physically separate FSC and non-FSC materials during storage and production.
- Issue FSC transaction certificates for eligible orders.
Why buyers ask for it
If your retail packaging carries an FSC label or your marketing mentions responsible forestry, CoC certification is usually mandatory. Retailers and distributors in Europe and North America commonly reject goods that cannot show valid chain-of-custody documentation.
